What kind of food should I order right now?

…and if you’re near Gramercy would you like to eat it with me as we drink Chimay and watch Stardust Memories?

One of several highly accurate and frank literary & cultural criticisms Woody has snuck in to his movies over the years.

“If God exists, I hope he has a good excuse.”

Further along the sames lines from Woody: “I’m not afraid of death. I just don’t want to be around when it happens.”
My god, he looks so much like an older Groucho ( one of his comedy idols ) in this.
For comparison:

House & Woody Allen

I used to watch House a lot in the summer of 2010 when I was spending a lot of time doin’ mucha nothing the summer before heading to college and was home a lot during the day, so naturally I watched tons of syndicated House reruns on USA or TBS or TNT or whatever the hell other network in the middle of the metaphorical cable dial was showing them. I’m pretty sure I also watched Everyone Says I Love You, the slightly strange but very wonderful Woody Allen musical featuring Edward Norton, Alan Alda, and many mismatched others, at least a few times that summer.

So it’s sort of fitting (in a personal TV-watching history kind of way) that the song “Enjoy Yourself” was featured at the end of the House finale tonight. Here’s Woody’s treatment of it, for anyone who hasn’t seen it, featuring that old guy who plays the old guy in everything. (Patrick Cranshaw)
