Claire Moon’s Portrait (II)
  1.  There is always the possibility that everything in her first portrait is false.
  2.  This possibility may mean Claire is more complex than we at first thought.

(From the film: In Search of a Midnight Kiss)

Misanthrope seeks misanthrope. Honestly, if you respond to this ad then you are probably not the kind of woman I’d go out with. I guess I’m lonely and it’s new years and I’m willing to embarrass the hell out of myself with this ad. About me: My girlfriends over the years have been intelligent and beautiful, in the end they have all broken my heart, whatever that means. image

In Search of a Midnight Kiss (Trailer)

500 days of summer ripped off everything that was good about In Search of a Midnight Kiss down to the way it photographed and glorified the architecture of downtown Los Angeles. Saw this movie again on TV tonight for the first time since 2007 when it came out. Man, is it good.

I just looked up the lead actor, Scoot McNairy. He kind of reminds me of Jeff Mangum somehow. Apparently he’s doing well — he just had a significant part in Argo.

Oh my god the beach boys at the end of love actually

Love Actually is actually really good

This urgent mobile Tumblr post brought to you by Barton Lewis

I would make this a “read more” but I don’t know how to do that because I’m an idiot.

I think that everybody has some sort of secret special skill

that they know they have

and probably don’t show off alot

if it all

but still they know it’s something they’re really good at.

And sometimes,

in life,

you come across someone else who says

Hey, you’ve got this secret special skill

and you’re like

I know

and you realize that they also have this other different really great secret special skill

and you get together and eat mountains of pizza-flavored ice cream together

and that’s love.

Love

is full of pizza-flavored ice cream

and delusion.

I don’t usually reblog GIFs, but when I do it’s David Byrne dancing. Or Stephen Fry telling you to be adorable.

This song is so great. I sort of liken it in tone to The Beach Boys’ wonderful but oft-overlooked song “A Day In The LIfe Of A Tree” off of Surf’s Up.

New ROAR Video for Flightless Bird!!!!!!!!!

I strike back and submit to Beach Boys confessions twice more, this being the first of the two! What would the words “I’m pickin’ up” be without his gravelly bass/baritone?

Through some strange internet coincidences I recently became vaguely acquainted with a member of this Austrian synth quartet. Here they are covering a Donna Summer song. I have few to no words to describe how amazingly awesome, vaguely terrible, and wholly wonderful this video is.

Toast in D# minor: cycling the plate →

All I got out of this was “tits” and “yellow dress,” but it’s worth a read anyway.

Bowie would like this perhaps mayhaps maybe, baby shnaps.

auselessthought:

anxious, i watched my friend vomit the other day.

he had too much, too little ,and his body let him have it.

sometimes i do that to, but i never vomit,

every shot that ignites my tissue,

that lets the yield fade in shame,

that lets me make both a genius and a fool

out of the same classic…

Now and then Fiona Apple haunts my computer screen. Can she please bring back Zach Galifinakis next time? Thanks.
