So apparently I’m going to be on the Chris Gethard show tomorrow, dancing around in a panda hat, dressed in black & white, and potentially playing synthesizer? (With/for the band Clinical Trials)
I met Rob Malone a couple weeks ago when he happened to sit next to me at a movie theatre near NYU to see Springbreakers, and now, totally unrelated to that happening, this is happening… though as I discussed with him I suppose my showing up sort of dashes my hopes of one day being “Random Barton,” doesn’t it?
…unless I fully conceal my identity and go full-panda-head. Chris Gethard, get ready for PANDA BARTON!!!!!!

New 70-minute movie and accompanying 17-track live album of Cannonball Statman performances from the past year, just released today! Watch the movie and listen to the album for free online, or buy a download of both combined for $5 from BandCamp if you want. Check it out!
I am on this, being a panda, synth-player, and washboardist!
It is long!
It is out today!
It is not an April Fools’ joke!
& it will still exist tomorrow, when music is “supposed” to come out (Tuesday)

Young Boys - Love Hits
I wanted to share the white-washed 11+ minute album closer on this new New York post-punk band’s new record, but I just kept coming back to the single. Trust, tho, that the whole collection is best listened to at top volume. Be sure to let that last track wash over your eardrums until the very last drop.
The New York Sun LP out this week on Holloweyed Records. Don’t miss their record release show at Glasslands on March 3rd.
This cut off the album made me a fan. I’ll be there at Glasslands.
Also, the album closer is awesome… Wish I had the time to devote to listening to it all now but gotta get back to practicing my synth parts for my SHOW AT WEBSTER HALL FEBRUARY 28.
Wait, that’s tomorrow. AHHHH CURLING UP INTO POST-PUNK FETAL PANIC BALL

I feel like I need a name as an umbrella for the drips and drabs of solo material I release that isn’t part of The Medicine or some other band project, or the serious yet-to-be-announced-and-finalized new band project I have on the horizon.
I used to go by “That Guy,” which I think it still says on my SoundCloud. I submitted with that name to SongFight.org now and then. I also submitted there with the pseudonym Duderonymus Bosch, which is where my blog title came from. I also use T. G. Bartoni for some things… it’s a childhood nickname. Short for “The Great Bartoni.” After seeing Matt Pond in person I kinda wanna be barton lewis NY but that wouldn’t really work.
Thoughts? Suggestions?

Oh snap!
Langor / Brian Langan is an awesome musician. Love his tune “Ladyblade,” which I think some of the Spinto dudes helped play & record.

For Everest is now a three-man purely vocal collaboration between Lost White Girls and Barton Lewis.

I wrote and recorded this song when I was a sophomore at NYU about my summer-after-freshman-year roommates, with their vocal assistance. I was embarrassed by it at the time but it is now seeing the light of day, for you, dear readers and listeners.
Pictured are the lap of Matthew Meadows and the inimitable Michael Todd on the mandolin.
